Parenting Support & Postpartum Wellness
We help parents and caregivers navigate the emotional ups and downs of raising children—from postpartum changes to the moments that feel overwhelming, uncertain, or harder than expected.
Why You’re Not Alone
Parenting can be deeply rewarding, but also exhausting, confusing, and at times, isolating. You may find yourself feeling overwhelmed by:
Persistent anxiety, mood swings, or intrusive thoughts
Difficulty bonding with your baby
Conflict in your parenting roles or shifting sense of identity
Burnout, guilt, or feeling like you’re falling short
Challenges with discipline, sibling dynamics, or the teen years
Postpartum changes in your relationships, work-life balance, or sense of self
These experiences are more common than you might think, and you don’t have to navigate them on your own. Support can look like having a space to talk openly, learn new ways to respond, and feel more confident in your role as a parent.
Parenting with Purpose (Parent Support Group)
For parents looking for more than just information, Parenting with Purpose offers a space to slow down, reflect, and build practical skills alongside others navigating similar challenges.
This virtual group is designed for parents who want:
Tools they can actually use in day-to-day parenting
A better understanding of their child’s behavior
Support and connection with other parents
Topics include:
Executive functioning
Nervous system responses
Burnout and self-care
ADHD, autism, anxiety, and oppositional behaviors
Each group also allows space for real conversation. Group discussions often explore deeper patterns as well—for example, how generational parenting influences our responses, and how children learn through observation.
If this feels like the kind of support you’ve been looking for, you’re welcome to reach out for more information or upcoming dates.
How We Help
At Roman Counseling, we tailor our approach to you, your history, your child(ren), your personality, your stressors. Here’s what we offer:
1. Postpartum & Maternal Mental Health
You don’t have to “just get through it.” Whether you’re dealing with postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD-like worries, identity shifts, or trauma resurfacing — we provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to heal and grow.
2. Parenting Strategy & Coaching
From toddlers to teens, from single parenting to blended family dynamics, we partner with you to build emotional connection, healthy boundaries, and consistent discipline strategies — honoring your values, your child’s temperament, and your limits.
3. Stress, Burnout & Emotional Regulation
You can’t pour from an empty cup. We teach you evidence-based tools (mindfulness, cognitive reframing, self-compassion, distress tolerance) so you can manage overwhelm, reduce irritability, and sustain your emotional well-being in the long haul.
4. Relationship & Co-Parenting Support
Parenting doesn’t happen in a vacuum. We also support couples in navigating shared parenting, communication around roles, blending households, and repairing ruptures, so the family system grows stronger, not more stressed.
