Taurie is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and the founder of Roman Counseling PLLC. She works with children, teens, and adults navigating eating disorders, ADHD, autism, anxiety, and other mood concerns.

Taurie integrates IFS, CBT, DBT, and ACT with a relational, strengths-based style. She believes therapy should feel collaborative and grounded in real-life growth by helping clients build self-awareness, resilience, and authentic coping skills.

Education

Taurie holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Canisius College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Taurie currently hold a license to practice in North Carolina, LCMHC.

Experience

Taurie has extensive experience providing individual, group, and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, particularly in the areas of eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and neurodivergence. She worked at Veritas Collaborative Child and Adolescent Hospital as a psychotherapist, providing individual and family counseling and facilitating inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization program groups for children and adolescents with eating disorders, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and developing group curricula. She also worked at Carolina House PHP, providing individual, group, and family therapy for adults with eating disorders in a partial hospitalization program. In a private practice setting, Taurie provided individual counseling and assisted in creating Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs for children, adolescents, and adults. She has additional experience supporting individuals with physical and developmental disabilities, providing rehabilitation services, and working with youth with high-functioning autism in community and school-based settings.
